Built in 1924 by the Lion’s Club, the historic lodge at Camp Pollock sits on 11 acres bordering the American River. The lodge was in need of necessary upgrades that would force it to be closed if not addressed. Phase 1 of the remodel included a complete replacement of existing ramps and stairs, construction of the new “River Deck” which will serve as an outdoor classroom, as well as improved access to the restrooms. The building also required structural upgrades and hazardous material abatement. Once complete, the updated lodge will more closely resemble its original design.
